Mount St. Mary's freshman Jeremy Goode (Charlotte, N.C./Providence Day) has been named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week. Goode averaged 15.0 points, 6.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals while leading the Mount to a 1-1 record last week.

Goode came off the bench to score eight of his team-high 18 points (4-7 FG, 8-10 FT), and added four rebounds and six assists in an 81-70 double overtime win over James Madison on Monday. His second three-pointer of the game with 3:36 left in the second extra session gave the Mount the lead for good. Goode made his first career start on Saturday, and finished with 12 points, six assists and three steals in a 66-60 setback at La Salle. For the season, he leads the Mount with 4.0 apg, and ranks third with 10.0 ppg.

The Mount plays at Binghamton tonight at 7:00 p.m.
