MOUNT STORY LINES
- Dola Adebayo matched his career high with 21 points, but it was not enough as Mount St. Mary's fell at Siena, 82-68, on Thursday night at MVP Arena. Jedy Cordilia added 16 points and five rebounds while Dallas Hobbs had 14 points. Xavier Lipscomb added nine assists and six rebounds in the loss. The Mountaineers have lost three in a row to fall to 11-8 overall and 4-4 in the MAAC.
-  Mount St. Mary's downed Manhattan, 75-66, at Draddy Gymnasium on January 10, but the Jaspers still hold a 12-9 lead in the all-time series that dates back all the way to 1910. The Mount is 3-2 against Manhattan in MAAC regular season matchups, and the Mountaineers are 4-2 all-time at home against the Jaspers.
- Mount St. Mary's is celebrating its Homecoming game on Saturday against Manhattan. Prior to the game, the Mount will honor its incoming Hall of Fame class which includes men's basketball player Julian Norfleet, who helped lead the Mount to the 2014 NCAA Tournament. Norfleet scored 1,605 points over 126 games from 2010-14 at the Mount, good for 15th on the Mount's all-time list. He added 423 career assists (9th all-time at MSM) while making 242 three-pointers (4th all-time at MSM). He averaged 17.2 points, 5.5 assists, and 2.8 rebounds as a senior to earn Second Team All-Northeast Conference honors and a spot on the NEC All-Tournament team.
- Dola Adebayo matched his career high with 21 points in the Mount's loss at Siena on Thursday night. Adebayo hit 7-of-9 from the field in the game. The redshirt junior is averaging 17.3 points over his past four games. He leads the Mountaineers with 16 double figure scoring games this season.
- Xavier Lipscomb dished out nine assists with just one turnover in 35 minutes of action in the Mount's loss at Siena on Thursday night. Lipscomb is averaging 7.2 assists over his past five games. Lipscomb is now averaging 4.8 assists per game this season, good for third in the MAAC. His 2.2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio is second in the league.
- Mount St. Mary's will embark on a two-game road trip next week, playing at Merrimack on Friday, January 31, and at Saint Peter's on Sunday, February 2. The Mount's next home game is Thursday, February 6, against Iona at 7 pm at Knott Arena.
