EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 18, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's women's rugby will return to Echo Field after having a bye last week to face La Salle on Saturday at noon. They are hoping to earn their first win of the season after facing tough defense from LIU two weeks ago.
Mount Update
Two weeks ago, the Mount faced LIU where they were in the try zone for the final three minutes of play trying to score a try to get ahead, but LIU's defense held strong.
Shaniah Mayers scored three conversions for the Mount in the game and tries came from
Sydney Sibilia,
Brie Kindig and
Neely Denlinger to put the game close with final score being 29-28 LIU. The Mount's defense was able to hold LIU from scoring after the first ten minutes of the second half to be able to surge back.
