EMMITSBURG, MD  (August 22, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's women's soccer battles George Mason Sunday in their fourth game of the season.  
 
MOUNT UPDATE
 
Last Wednesday, the Mount traveled to Bucknell to face the Bison. In rainy conditions, senior Cassidy Nichols scored her first goal of the season but the Bison were able to tally eight strikes against the Mountaineers. Nichols joins Fineen Cregan as a goal scorer for the season.
 
SCOUTING THE PATRIOTS
 
George Mason has won two of their three games, defeating VMI 4-1 and Penn 1-0. In between those victories they fell 2-1 to James Madison. The Patriots have six goals as a team, with Keira Jeffries and Molly Starner each scoring twice. Goalkeeper Libby Davy has seven saves for the season.
 
SERIES HISTORY
 
The teams meet for the first time since 2010, when they played back-to-back years. George Mason took the 2009 game, 6-0, and the teams earned a 1-1 draw in 2010.
