EMMITSBURG, Md. (May 6, 2026) – The NCAA released Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores for the 2024-25 academic year this week. Mount St. Mary's has four programs that maintained a perfect rating over the past four years, and 13 programs earned a perfect rating for the year.
APR holds institutions accountable for the academic progress of their student-athletes through a team-based metric that accounts for eligibility and retention for student-athletes that receive aid. Teams must earn a four-year average of 930 or greater to be able to compete in championships.
Men's golf, women's cross country, women's swimming & diving, and women's tennis earned a four-year average of 1,000, going back to 2021.
For the 2024-25, the four teams with a perfect four-year average were joined by men's swimming & diving, men's tennis, men's water polo, bowling, women's golf, women's lacrosse, softball, women's track & field, and women's water polo all earned a score of 1,000.
As a department, Mount St. Mary's earned a score of 985, increasing from their four-year average of 983.
