EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 6, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's baseball hits the road on Wednesday for a mid-week non-conference clash against Bucknell in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, with first pitch slatted for 3:00 p.m. in central Pennsylvania. The Mountaineers will look to bounce back against the Bison in the return game, as Bucknell notched a 7-6 win against the Mount in Emmitsburg on March 24.
MOUNT UPDATE
In game one against Siena on April 3, the Mount got on the board and scored their only run of the game in the top of the fourth after
Bryce Rudisill stole third base, eventually taking home plate on the back of an error by the catcher. Rudisill went 2-4 in game one while
Christian Bauman,
David Stokely,
Phoenix Williams, and
Carson Clark all reached base on hits. Accredited with his third loss on the year,
Serigne Sarre still threw 6.0 innings on the mound while striking out six batters.
In game two, the Mountaineers took an early 1-0 lead through the top of the first inning, as Stokely batted in Meier from third base on a single up the middle. Kaeden Kimble stayed solid on the mound through the fifth inning until the Saints scored two runs in the inning to take a 2-1 lead. The Mount regained the lead in the top of the sixth as
Ty Fredo scored on a failed pick off attempt at second base to tie the game. But in the end, the Mount could not regain the lead, giving up the third and final run of the day in the bottom of the seventh to round out the game.
After six innings of deadlock, the Mountaineers got on the scoreboard in the top of the seventh inning during game three against the Saints on April 4, as
David Stokely sent a two-run shot out to left field, taking a 2-0 led with a third of the game left. Siena rallied in the eighth, hitting a two-run home run of their own before
Christian Bauman flew out to right field, scoring
Mike Toth on a sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning, rounding out the win and avoiding the sweep on Saturday.
DEROSSI'S DAY
On the Mound against Siena on Saturday, April 4, Eli Derossi remained hitless through seven innings, giving up a two-run shot in the eighth inning, ending his day on the mound. Removed for
JB Manarchuck, DeRossi left the field with three strikeouts through seven innings while being accredited with two runs.
SCOUTING THE BISON
Since their game in Emmitsburg on March 24, Bucknell has rattled off an eight game win streak, sweeping Lehigh and Lafayette while notching mid-week wins against both Penn State and La Salle.

Dating back to 1990, the Mountaineers have recorded a record of 8-23 against the Bison, with their last win against the Lewisburg club coming on March 16, 2022, with the Mount defeating Bucknell 4-3 in ten innings in Emmitsburg.
