LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. (April 3, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's baseball fell to Siena on Friday afternoon in both games of their Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference doubleheader by scores of 7-1 and 3-2. With the losses, the Mount falls to an overall record of 12-15 with a MAAC record of 6-8
In game one against the Saints, the Mount got on the board and scored their only run of the game in the top of the fourth after
Bryce Rudisill stole third base, eventually taking home plate on the back of an error by the catcher. Rudisill went 2-4 in game one while
Christian Bauman,
David Stokely,
Phoenix Williams, and
Carson Clark all reached base on hits. Accredited with his third loss on the year,
Serigne Sarre still threw 6.0 innings on the mound while striking out six batters.
In game two, the Mountaineers took an early 1-0 lead through the top of the first inning, as Stokely batted in Meier from third base on a single up the middle. Kaeden Kimble stayed solid on the mound through the fifth inning until the Saints scored two runs in the inning to take a 2-1 lead. The Mount regained the lead in the top of the sixth as
Ty Fredo scored on a failed pick off attempt at second base to tie the game. But in the end, the Mount could not regain the lead, giving up the third and final run of the day in the bottom of the seventh to round out the game.

The Mountaineers will look to avoid the sweep tomorrow, April 4, in game three against Siena, with first pitch in upstate New York slatted for 12:00 p.m.
