EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 11, 2026) – After scoring two early touchdowns, Mount St. Mary's flag football prevailed using big defensive stands in a 14-7 win over Saint Joseph's.
With the win, the Mount improves to 6-10 and 4-2 in Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC).
Madison Kean caught the game-sealing interception in the fourth quarter. She was also the leading tackler with nine flag pulls.
Alyssa Lane had a spectacular all-around game with eight pulls on defense and 83 all-purpose yards.
HOW THE GAME UNFOLDED
- Following a stop of Saint Joseph's, Mount connected on their first play as Annabelle Haught found Arieon Stokes for the Mount's first score.
- In the second quarter, Haught found Jordyn Dodson-Jenson in the end zone for a 14-0 lead entering halftime.
- Morgan Gregory earned a third quarter interception, but on another drive, the Hawks cracked the scoreboard with a touchdown pass.
- As SJU was driving to tie the game, Kean came up with the clutch interception and the Mount ran out the clock.
