Men's Golf Finishes Tied for Fourth Place Led by Fortney with a Top Ten Placement at Southern Intercollegiate

ATHENS, Ga.  (March 16, 2026) –Mount St. Mary's men's golf finishes tied for fourth place after two rounds of play the Southern Intercollegiate with a gross score of 610 (298-312, +34). Tyler Fortney led Mountaineer golfers by finishing tied for seventh place with a score of 149 (72-77, +5).
 
On the team leaderboard, Georgia finished in first place with a score of 587 (+11) with a six-stroke lead over Western Carolina in second. Western Caroline finished with a seven-stroke lead over Mercer who finished third, For the individual leaderboard, Jace Butcher of Western Carolina took the individual title with a score of 142 (-2).

To round out the Mount's scorecard, Santiago Bonequi finished tied for 31st place with a total score of 154 (76-78, +10), while Bryan Hernandez finished tied for 40th  with a gross score of  157 (73-84, +13). Force Kosalutta finished tied for 48th with a gross score of 158 (77-81, +14), while Brent Glah finished tied for 65th with a score of 163 (87-76, +19).
