ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga.  (March 12, 2026) –Mount St. Mary's men's golf stands in 21^st place on day one of Peoples Championship with a gross score of 300 (+16). Tyler Fortney leads Mountaineer golfers on day one standing tied for 56^th with a score of 73 (+2).
 
On the team leaderboard, Western Carolina and Belmont stand tied for first with a gross score of 277 (-7) to hold a one-stroke lead over Samford in third. For the individual leaderboard, Gavin Isbell of Samford, Theo Takman of Charleston Southern and Chris Harpum of Belmont stand tied for first with a score of 66 (-5).

To round out the Mount's scorecard, Bryan Hernandez stands tied for 71^st place with a score of 74 (+3), while Brent Glah stands tied for 85^th  after shooting a 75 (+4) day. Santiago Bonequi stands tied for 106^th with a score of 78 (+7), while Force Kosalutta stands tied for 112^th with a score of 80 (+9).
