Men's Golf Sits in 21st Place on Day One of Peoples Championships

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga.  (March 12, 2026) –Mount St. Mary's men's golf stands in 21st place on day one of Peoples Championship with a gross score of 300 (+16). Tyler Fortney leads Mountaineer golfers on day one standing tied for 56th with a score of 73 (+2).
 
On the team leaderboard, Western Carolina and Belmont stand tied for first with a gross score of 277 (-7) to hold a one-stroke lead over Samford in third. For the individual leaderboard, Gavin Isbell of Samford, Theo Takman of Charleston Southern and Chris Harpum of Belmont stand tied for first with a score of 66 (-5).

To round out the Mount's scorecard, Bryan Hernandez stands tied for 71st place with a score of 74 (+3), while Brent Glah stands tied for 85th  after shooting a 75 (+4) day. Santiago Bonequi stands tied for 106th with a score of 78 (+7), while Force Kosalutta stands tied for 112th with a score of 80 (+9).
