NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. (February 19, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's women's basketball had nine different players score, took command of the game early in the second half, and defeated Niagara 76-57 Thursday evening at the Gallagher Center. With the win, the Mount clinched a spot in the upcoming Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Tournament, going from March 5-10 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Amber Bullard was the team's scoring leader, going 8-for-9 for 17 points. She tied with
Alana Powell in a distributed rebounding effort with five. Mikeala Parris – seeing her first time on the floor since January 31 – answered the call by tying a career high with 13 points.
Jaedyn Jamison added 12 points to the mix.
Giana Hoddinott tied a career high for steals, earning five of the team's 14 swipes.
Niagara also had three players in double figures, led by Chasity Wilson with 12.
The Mount is now 13-13 on the season and 9-8 in the MAAC.
HOW THE GAME UNFOLDED
- Bullard scored the first 10 points for the Mount, going 5-for-5 from the floor and nullifying a 6-0 Niagara run to open the game. Buckets by Jamison and Powell later in the quarter ensured 16-13 edge after one.
- Parris added five points off the bench in the second quarter. Free throws by Jamison towards the end of the frame put the Mount's lead in double digits for the first time at 28-18. They would go in at the half up 33-24.
- In the third quarter, the Mountaineers shot 7-for-9 from the floor and added six at the charity stripe. With three pointers accounted for the team's 23 points tie for the most for a third quarter this season.
- The game well in hand after the third, the teams played even in the fourth. Berlynn Carlson had eight of the Mount's 20 points.
