MOUNT STORY LINES
  • Mount St. Mary's evened it's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference record at 8-8 with a 65-55 win at Rider last Friday.  Abdou Khadre Kébé led the Mount with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Trey Deveaux (12) and Xavier Lipscomb (11) also reached double figures.  The Mount held Rider to 35.0 percent shooting in the victory.
  • Mount St. Mary's defeated Niagara, 68-58, on January 19, to take a 5-4 lead in the all-time series with the Purple Eagles.  The Mount is 5-2 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) regular season games against Niagara, including a 2-1 mark at Knott Arena.
  • Mount St. Mary's is currently tied with Fairfield for sixth place in the MAAC standings with an 8-8 league mark.  Marist is fifth with a 10-7 record, while Manhattan and Sacred Heart are tied for eighth with 8-9 records.  The top six teams in the MAAC standings earn a First Round bye in the MAAC Tournament which will be held at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J., on March 5-10.
  • Mount St. Mary's is 7-4 over its past 11 games with the defense being a major contributor.  The Mount is allowing 67.7 points over the past 11 contests while holding the opposition to 38.3 percent shooting from the field.
  • Mount St. Mary's is 3-1 in February this season with wins over Manhattan, Iona and Rider.  The Mountaineers are now 17-10 in MAAC regular season games in the month of February since joining the league, including 8-3 under head coach Donny Lind.
  • Mount St. Mary's is 6-5 at home this season and needs one more win to clinch a winning home record for the 31st time in 39 seasons at Knott Arena.
  • Abdou Khadre Kébé had 15 points and 10 rebounds in the Mount's win at Rider, his second consecutive game with a double-double.  The last Mountaineer to post back-to-back double-doubles was Dola Adebayo last season in back-to-back matchups with Marist on March 8 and March 13.
  • Trey Deveaux scored 12 points in the Mount's win at Rider, and is averaging 14.7 points over the past three games.  Deveaux is just two points shy of reaching 1,000 points for his NCAA collegiate career.  Deveaux scored 463 points at Wayne State in 2023-24, 262 at Western Illinois last year, and has 256 this season for the Mountaineers.
  • Up next, the Mount wraps up the home schedule when Canisius visits Knott Arena on Sunday, February 22, at 2:00 p.m. for Senior Day.  Fans can purchase tickets here.
