Women’s Water Polo Releases Schedule for the 2026 Season

EMMITSBURG, Md. (January 14, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's women's water polo interim head coach Ivan Zivojinovic announced the schedule for the upcoming 2026 season on Wednesday, with a slate of 23 for the Mountaineers in the spring. A full list of games for women's water polo can be found on the Athletic Department's website.
 
The Mountaineers begin the 2026 campaign with a slate of three games in New Jersey at the Princeton Invitational, beginning the season with a doubleheader on January 30 against Indiana and Princeton followed by a match against Brown on January 31. Mount St. Mary's travels to Lexington, Virginia the next weekend, taking on Saint Francis on February 6, Salem on February 7, and Bucknell on February 8 while playing an exhibition game against the University of Toronto before their matchup with the Tigers.
 
Bound for Bloomington, Indiana the next weekend, the Mountaineers play a Valentine's Day double header against Indiana and Mercyhurst, returning to the pool on February 15 to take on McKendree and Michigan.
 
Following their road trip to the Hoosier State, the Mountaineers travel to Pomona, California for the Claremont Convergence Tournament, playing Whittier and Cal State Fullerton on March 6. The Mountaineers return to the five colleges on March 7, playing a double header against Chapman.
 
Returning from California, the Mountaineers begin their Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference campaign on March 13, playing their only home match of the year against the Virginia Military Institute for Senior Day in Emmitsburg. Following the Friday home game, the Mountaineers travel to Philadelphia, taking on Iona on March 14 and Marist on March 15.
 
The Mountaineers continue their trip north the following weekend, taking on La Salle on march 21 and Siena on March 22 in Poughkeepsie before heading back south to Lexington to take on LIU and Wagner on March 28 and Villanova on March 29, ending the regular season. The MAAC Conference Tournament runs from April 11 – April 12, with the top four teams in the MAAC regular season heading to Poughkeepsie for the playoffs.
