MOUNT STORY LINES
- Xavier Lipscomb scored a career-high 18 points to lead Mount St. Mary's past Saint Peter's, 70-65, on Friday night at Knott Arena. Abdou Khadre Kébé, making his first collegiate start, added career highs of 13 points and five boards in the victory. Trey Deveaux chipped in 12 points, Arlandus Keyes 11 points, and Luke McEldon seven points and 10 rebounds in the game. Mount St. Mary's held the Peacocks to 28.6 percent shooting in the game (18-of-63), including just 7-of-31 (.226) in the second half.
- Siena holds a 7-3 lead in the all-time series with the Mount that began on December 14, 1940. The Mountaineers are 2-3 all-time at home against the Saints, including an 85-79 victory on March 2, 2025, in the last meeting in the series. The Mount is 3-3 in MAAC regular season matchups with the Saints.
- Mount St. Mary's is ninth in the nation in two-foul participation (58.4 percent), which is simply the percentage of time that a starter with two fouls in the first half has been allowed to play. Last year, the Mount was sixth in the nation at 60.3 percent.
- Mount St. Mary's has won its past three home games to move to 4-2 at Knott Arena this season. Over the past three home games, the Mount has held the opponents to 55.0 points per game and 29.8 percent shooting from the field.
- Mount St. Mary's has four players averaging double figures in scoring this season in Arlandus Keyes (11.2), Trey Deveaux (11.2), Luke McEldon (11.1) and Xavier Lipscomb (10.5). The Mount has had four players average double figures in a season just four times since joining NCAA Division I in 1988-89. The Mount had four double figure scorers last year for the first time since the 1990-91 campaign.
- Xavier Lipscomb went 12-for-12 at the foul line in the Mount's win over Saint Peter's and has now made 34 consecutive free throws. It is the longest consecutive free throws made streak by a Mount play since Junior Robinson made 39 in a row to close out the 2016-17 season and begin the 2017-18 campaign.
- Abdou Khadre Kébé made his first collegiate start against Saint Peter's, finishing with career highs in points (13) and rebounds (5). Kébé is averaging 9.4 points over the past four games, shooting 16-of-29 (.552) from the field and 6-of-14 (.429) from three-point range.
- Mount St. Mary's heads to Western New York next weekend for games at Canisius (Jan. 17, 12 pm) and Niagara (Jan. 19, 2 pm). The Mount's next home game is Thursday, January 22, against Quinnipiac with a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
