EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 5, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's men's rugby begins their 2025 campaign with an away matchup with Davenport in Cleveland, Ohio. The Mountaineers enter 2025 off the back of a 2024-25 season that yielded a record of 8-6.
MOUNT UPDATE
The Mountaineers finished their 2024-25 season with a Round of 16 loss in the D1A playoff to Army by a score of 25-13. Their last game of the regular season ended in a 52-7 win for the Mountaineers over Ohio State in Emmitsburg on March 22.

Bastian Brunello was taken with the 14
th Overall pick in the second round of the Major League Rugby draft by the Chicago Hounds.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Davenport started their 2025-26 season with a 27-25 defeat to Marian University in Caledonia, Michigan. During their 2024-25 season, the Panthers logged a record of 8-6 with notable wins against Ohio State, McKendree, and Arkansas State.
