EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 4, 2025) – On the eve of the 2025 Rugby East season, Mount St. Mary's men's rugby was announced as nationally ranked by the College Rugby Association of America's D1A preseason poll, ranked in the ninth spot ahead of Brigham Young University and behind the University of Arizona.

The Mountaineers were the fourth team from Rugby East named in the Top 10 of the poll, with Life being named No. 2, Navy being named No. 4, and Army being named No. 6.

Mount St. Mary's will meet the other ranked team's of Rugby East in competition during 2025, with the Mount facing off against No. 11 Mary Washington on September 20 away in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Navy and No. 13 Penn State await September 27 an October 11 respectively before facing off against Army on October 25 and Life on November 1 in Georgia.
 
Mount St. Mary's kicks off their fall 2025 schedule this weekend, facing off against Davenport in Cleveland, Ohio. The match is being hosted by St. Edward High School, with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
