EMMITSBURG, Md. (June 18, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's has announced the addition of Adam Pohl as its Associate Director of Marketing and Fan Development.
Pohl is a familiar voice for Mount Basketball fans, as he has served as the lead broadcaster for men's basketball since 2010 while also calling select home seasons for the women's basketball team.
"Adam is a tremendous addition to the Mount team," said Director of Athletics
Brad Davis. "His passion for Mount Athletics, coupled with his extensive experience locally in minor league baseball, will bring a fresh perspective to our marketing and fan experience initiatives."
"To have this opportunity to work with our students, fans and partners to help to grow Mount Athletics and continue to bond this community to our university means the world to me. I can't wait to get started." Pohl said.
Pohl's front office expertise cultivated over two decades in the minor league baseball circuit. Most of the past decade was spent in Bowie on behalf of the Chesapeake Baysox. He served as the Director of Broadcasting, Corporate Sales Executive, and the Director of Marketing at various points. While there, the Baysox improved in both attendance and advertising sales through a variety of creative avenues.
Prior to his time to Bowie, Pohl worked for the Frederick Keys, rising to the position of Assistant General Manager over an eight-year tenure. Heading the marketing efforts for the Keys, he helped pilot the team to its largest attendance total in over a decade and led all public relations and media efforts.
Outside of baseball, he also gained experience with Goodyear and Graphcom. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he majored in music performance, specializing in the trumpet.
Pohl begins his appointment on June 23.
