EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 16, 2025) – A duo of Mount St. Mary's men's golfers earned All-Conference honors from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), announced by the league on Wednesday. Aaron Sorkin received a First-Team All-MAAC selection while Devin Smith earned a Second Team All-MAAC selection.
 
Sorkin has helped in the latter end of the regular season for men's golf by taking the individual title at both the Fripp Island Intercollegiate and the local Carpetbagger Classic, where he helped lead to take the team title as well. He earned the honor of MAAC Golfer of the Week as well after this tournament. His lowest scoring round was a 63 which broke a school record which he attained at the Fripp Island Intercollegiate in round two of play.
 
Smith excelled early in the season, earning an individual title in the Bucknell Invitational and gaining an MAAC Golfer of the Month honor. Then in the Carpetbagger Classic he was the runner up behind Sorkin, which also helped the team gain the team title for this tournament. His lowest round would be a 67 which he attained twice at the Bucknell Invitational in rounds two and three of play.
 

In addition to the recognition of Smith and Sorkin, nine members from the men's and women's golf team attained a MAAC All-Academic Team selection. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. The 2025 MAAC Men's & Women's Golf Championships return to Disney's Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. beginning April 17^th-19^th.
