(April 19th, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's finished in fifth place following their highest round of 305 (+17) today at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships with a total score of 882 (+18). Men's golf straddled together 146 pars, 50 birdies, and one eagle concluding the MAAC Championships.
Aaron Sorkin finished in second place with a score 211 (-5) after shooting even with par today and finishing just one stroke out first place. Sorkin finished with 16 birdies leading the entire tournament and 28 pars total. Sorkin's score of 68, shot on day two was the second lowest score of the entire tournament.
Fairfield won the tournament with a final score of 862 (-2) while Sacred Heart finished second with a score of 864, even with par. Following Sacred Heart is Iona in third with a score of 864 (+3). Tadgh Burke finished atop the individual leaderboard with a final score of 210 (-6).
Martin Hurtado finished in 20
th in the tournament with a final score of 221 (+5), while
Devin Smith finished tied for 25
th with a final score of 225 (+9). Hurtado finished with 31 pars and ten birdies, while Smith had a total of 32 pars and eight birdies.
Daniel Shelley finished tied for 31
st with a total score of 227 (+11), while
Santiago Bonequi finished tied for 47
th with a final score of 235 (+19). Shelley finished with 25 pars, nine birdies and one eagle on his scorecard, while Bonequi finished with 30 pars and seven birdies.
