Box Score EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 15, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's baseball lost their Tuesday match up at home against the University of Maryland by a score of 10-3. With the loss, the Mountaineers move to a overall record of 14-21 while retaining a conference record of 7-8 heading into this week's action of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play.
The Mountaineers found themselves down within the first four innings, going down 6-0 midway through the game against the Terrapins. But a
Bryce Rudisill 447-foot solo-shot over the right field scoreboard made things interesting coming out of the bottom of the fifth. Four more Maryland runs came across the plate in the top of the eighth before
Ty Fredo sent a slicing ball from the right-hand batter's box over to right field wall to make it 10-2. With two outs in the ninth,
Evan Meier sent a solo home run over the center field wall, taking one last run from the game before it was finished.
Rudisill, Fredo, and Meier all indulged in solo home runs against the terrapins while Fredo and
Sam Grube also reached base singles through the infield.
Tommy Moore was credited with his second loss of the year while allowing five earned runs and striking out five Maryland batters.
Brandon Rice featured from the bullpen today, throwing a two-hit, four strikeout appearance from the pen.
Ryan Brown also featured from the bullpen while striking out two batters in 1.2 innings of hitless work.
