MOUNT STORY LINES
- Mount St. Mary's saw its four-game win streak snapped with a 69-62 loss at Fairfield on Friday night. Dallas Hobbs paced the Mount with 15 points while Dola Adebayo chipped in a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards. Fairfield scored the first eight points and led by as much as 11 in the opening half. The Mount rallied, and tied the score at 62-62 with 2:49 left, but the Stags scored the final seven points of the game to earn the victory.
- Brendan Coyle scored 26 points, hitting 7-of-9 from three-point range, to lead Siena to an 82-68 win over the Mount at MVP Arena on January 23. Dola Adebayo led the Mountaineers with 21 points in the loss. The Saints now hold a 7-2 lead in the all-time series with the Mountaineers, including a 3-2 margin in MAAC regular season meetings.
- The Mountaineers are in fourth place in the MAAC standings with a 10-7 record, a half-game ahead of fifth-place Iona (10-8). The Mount has already clinched a spot at this year's MAAC Tournament in Atlantic City and is looking to finish in the top six to earn a First Round bye. The Mount has a one-game lead on Manhattan and Sacred Heart, who are tied for sixth with 9-8 records.
- Mount St. Mary's has a 17-11 record this season, the most wins by a Mount team since the 2017-18 squad finished with an 18-14 mark. The 10 MAAC wins are the most by the Mount since moving to the conference in the 2022-23 season.
- Dola Adebayo recorded his third double-double of the season with 12 points and 13 rebounds in the Mount's loss at Fairfield. Adebayo matched his career high in rebounds in the game, and is averaging 12.3 points and 10.0 rebounds over his past three games.
- Carmelo Pacheco went 4-for-8 from three-point range at Fairfield on Friday night, and is now shooting 45.3 percent (68-for-150) from beyond the arc this season. Pacheco is fifth in the nation in three-point field goal percentage (2.5 3FGM/game). He is shooting a MAAC-best 47.4 percent (45-of-95) from three-point range in MAAC games.
- The Mountaineers close the regular season against the top two teams in the MAAC standings. The Mount begins the week with another trip to Connecticut, facing Quinnipiac in Hamden, Conn., on Thursday night at 7 pm. The Mount closes out the home schedule against Marist on Saturday, March 8, at 4 pm.
