MOUNT STORY LINES
  • Iona's DeJour Reaves drained a three-pointer at the buzzer to lift Iona to a 70-67 win over Mount St. Mary's on February 6.  Jedy Cordilia hit 9-of-12 from the field and finished with 21 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and a pair of blocks to pace the Mount in the game.  It is his third double-double of the season and the fifth of his career.  Dallas Hobbs chipped in 15 points, three rebounds and three assists while Xavier Lipscomb had 10 points, seven rebounds and six boards in the game.  
  • In the first meeting this year, the Mount rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to secure a 68-62 win over Niagara on January 5 at Knott Arena.  A pair of 10-0 Mountaineer runs in the second half helped turn the tide.  Carmelo Pacheco led five Mountaineers in double figures with 14 points.  Niagara now holds a 4-3 lead in the all-time series.  The Mount has won the past two meetings, and is 1-2 all-time at the Gallagher Center.
  • Mount St. Mary's swept its two-game road trip to Merrimack and Saint Peter's on Jan. 31 and Feb. 2.  It is the third time since joining the MAAC in 2022-23 that the Mount has won consecutive road games.   The Mount has not won three MAAC road games in a row, and are 11-14 all-time on the road in MAAC regular season games.  The Mount is 7-6 on the road this season, and is looking record a winning road record for just the third time since moving to NCAA Division I in 1988-89.  The Mount went 10-7 in 2007-08 and 9-7 in 1995-96. 
  • Jedy Cordilia led the Mountaineers with 21 points and 12 rebounds in the overtime loss to Iona on February 6.  Cordilia has been a force of late for the Mount, averaging 17.0 points and 12.7 rebounds over the past three games, connecting on 23-of-36 (.639) from the field.  Cordilia notched a double-double in two of the Mount's past three games, giving him five double-doubles for his Mountaineer career.
  • Dallas Hobbs had 15 points against Iona on February 6.  Hobbs has found his groove on offense, averaging 14.2 points over the past five games.  He scored a career-high 22 points in the Mount's win at Saint Peter's on Feb. 2.
  • Mount St. Mary's rounds out its Western New York swing at Canisius at 1 pm on Sunday.  The Mount's next home game is Friday, February 21, against Saint Peter's.  Tip-off at Knott Arena is set for 7:00 p.m.
