COLLEGE PARK, Md. (December 3, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's women's basketball falls to the #7 ranked Maryland Terrapins, 92-44, Wednesday evening at the XFINITY Center.
Gabrielle Kennerly led the Mountaineers with 13 points, and
Giana Hoddinott joined her in double figures with 10.
Amber Bullard pulled in the most rebounds with six.
Berlynn Carlson gave a nice effort off the bench with eight points and five boards.
The Mount is now 2-5 on the season.
HOW THE GAME UNFOLDED
- Bullard and Kennerly helped the Mount keep pace with the Terrapins early, garnering leads at the 3-2 and 5-4 marks.
- Maryland went on a 10-0 run after that to take command and would lead 23-9 after the first quarter.
- A three-pointer at the two minute mark netted the Terps a 20-point edge at 39-19. They would take a 46-21 lead into halftime.
- Kennerly added six points as the Mount earned 13 points in the third quarter.
- Maryland would outscore the Mountaineers, 24-10, in the final frame. Hoddinott had the most for the Mount with five points.
NOTEWORTHY ITEMS
- Lenora Nkangwen dressed for the first time in her collegiate career. The redshirt freshman is battling back from multiple lower body surgeries.
- Mount finished with 14 offensive rebounds but could only capitalize with five second chance points.
- Bullard finished with two blocks, earning a multi-rejection game for the third time this season.
- Maryland finished with 50 points in the paint.
- Mount St. Mary's is now 0-12 all-time versus Maryland.
