MOUNT STORY LINES
  • Mount St. Mary's earned an exhibition road win over Hood College, 85-70, on October 29.  Anastasios Rozakeas led the way with 21 points (7-of-17 3PFG) while Luke McEldon added 18 points (7-of-7 FG's) in the victory.  Xavier Lipscomb chipped in 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals while Trey Deveaux chipped in 14 points and seven boards.  Leading 52-48, the Mount went on a 31-to-9 run to take its biggest lead of the game, 83-57, to secure the win. The Mount shot 17-of-45 (.378) from three-point range in the game.
  • Mount St. Mary's finished the 2024-25 season with a 23-13 record, setting the school record for wins since moving to NCAA Division I in 1988-89.  The only other 20-win seasons in the Mount's D1 era came in 1995-96 (21-8) and 2016-17 (20-16).
  • This will be the Mount's seventh all-time meeting with West Virginia, and the fifth time the two teams will meet in the season opener.  The Mount is 0-6 against WVU, falling 76-58 in the last meeting on November 7, 2022.  The Mount and WVU opened the season against each other in 2006, 2013, 2016 and 2022.
  • The Mount's top two returnees are guards Xavier Lipscomb and Arlandus Keyes.  Lipscomb averaged 6.8 points, 4.3 assists and 4.2 rebounds while leading the team in minutes last year.  Keyes averaged 6.8 points and 3.3 rebounds last year in 32 games.  He was a key contributor in the Mount's playoff run, averaging 12.6 points over the Mount's five postseason games.
  • Mount St. Mary's hit 17-of-45 (.378) from three-point range in the exhibition win over Hood College.  Had the stats counted, the 45 three-point attempts would have set the school record while the 17 makes would be tied for second on the all-time list.  Anstasios Rozakeas hit 7-of-17 (.412) from beyond the arc in the game.
  • Head coach Donny Lind led the Mount to 23 wins in his first season in Emmitsburg, the most wins in program history by a Mount coach in their debut season. The previous mark was set by Jim Phelan, who led the Mount to a 22-3 record in his first season in 1954-55.
  • Arlandus Keyes found his shooting touch last year once the calendar turned to 2025.  Keyes shot 41.0 percent (41-for-100) after January 1 from beyond the arc after opening his Mount career by going 7-for-33 (.212) over his first 12 contests.
  • Mount St. Mary's is back in action on Friday, November 7, when Bucknell visits Knott Arena for the home opener.  The Mount will unveil it's 2025 MAAC Championship banner prior to the game.  Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
