Bowling Finishes Fall Semester Competition at Garden State Classic

EMMITSBURG, Md. (November 20, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's bowling completes its fall semester portion of the schedule this weekend, heading to Monmouth's Garden State Classic.  
 
FORMAT: The weekend follows a standard three-day event, with Baker pinfall on Friday and traditional play on Saturday. Sunday features three best-of-seven rounds.  
 
PARTICIPATING TEAMS: Mount St. Mary's, Monmouth (hosts), Adelphi, Bryant, Bowie State, Caldwell, Delaware State, Dominican, Fairleigh Dickinson, Felician, Long Island, Molloy, Morgan State, St. Thomas Aquinas   
 
ABOUT THE MOUNT: The Mountaineers won the Coppin State Lady Eagles Invitational, going a perfect 10-0 and defeating Belmont Abbey in the championship final. Over the nine qualifying rounds, the Mount posted 1,000 or better in seven of them. Sierra Calo, Aliza Shirk, and Leah Varela made the All-Tournament Team. Calo led the group with a 1,076 series.
 
SCOUTING THE FIELD: Teams from all over the Northeast make the trip to Howell for the tournament. In terms of National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) ranking, the 14th ranked Mountaineers are joined by #17 Fairleigh Dickinson, #22 Felician, and #23 Delaware State.
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE: Competition continues in January with the Northeast Classic, hosted by Sacred Heart in Delaware.
