EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 24, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's men's and women's swimming and diving finished the first day of the Thomas Murphy invitational in fourth place among both competitions respectively. On day one, the women's team scored 281 points while the men scored 232 points in Baltimore.
On the women's side of the competition, the relay team of
Theodora Kanellopoulou,
Christina Lazari,
Eve Phillips, and
Madison Murphy placed fifth in the A Final of the women's 200-Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:44.83.
Carmen Del Aguila placed first in the B Final of the women's 500-Yard Freestyle with a time of 4:55.28. And
Lauren Wetzel placed first in the C Final of the women's 200-Yard Intermediate with a time of 2:10.58.
The men's 200-Yard Medley Relay team of
Todor Gospodinov,
Adam Jozsa,
Parker Koenig, and
Austin Toland placed fifth in the A Final with a time of 1:30.43. Gospodinov placed first in the B Final of the men's 200-Yard Intermediate with a time of 1:51.52. And
Lucas Hancock placed fourth in the B Final of the Men's 50 Yard Freestyle event with a time of 20.95.
