EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 15, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's men's water polo goalkeeper Sherif Hosni was named the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week by the conference office on Wednesday. After his action in goal against Mercyhurst and Bucknell this past weekend, Hosni shares the award with Fordham's Luca Provenziani.
 
Hosni claims his fourth MAWPC weekly award of the season after a weekend that yielded 31 saves, three steals, and one assist including a 17 save outing against Bucknell. Thew New Zealand international also made 14 saves in the Mount's 13-9 win over Mercyhurst.
