  • Mount St. Mary's fell at George Mason, 64-56, to close out non-conference play on December 28.  Dola Adebayo paced the Mountaineers with 13 points and seven rebounds.  Coming off a 78-74 overtime win at Miami (Fla.) on December 21, the Mount held a 30-28 lead at the half in looking for its second consecutive big road win. George Mason, however, opened the second half with a 22-to-7 run over the first 11 minutes for a 50-37 lead.  The Mount cut the deficit to eight, but would get no closer.
  • Niagara holds a 4-2 lead in the all-time series with the Mount.  The teams have split four MAAC regular season meetings since the Mountaineers joined the MAAC for the 2022-23 season.  The Mount captured the last meeting, 91-72, at Niagara on March 3 last year.
  • Mount St. Mary's finished the non-conference schedule with a 7-4 record, the most non-conference wins in a season since the Mount moved to NCAA Division I in 1988-89.  The team's 8-5 record is the best start to a season since the 1986-87 team opened the year at 11-2.
  • Mount St. Mary's is 4-1 at Knott Arena this season with victories over Notre Dame of Maryland, Saint Francis, Delaware State and Fairfield.  The Mountaineers are averaging 82.0 points at home on the season, shooting 48.8 percent from the field and 77.7 percent at the foul line.  Jedy Cordilia is averaging a team-high 14.3 points home while adding 7.8 rebounds and shooting 72.2 percent from the field.
  • In addition to being one of the top sixth men in the MAAC, Terrell Ard Jr. has shown the ability to pick up his play in the second half of games this year.  The senior forward is averaging a team-best 7.5 points and 4.9 rebounds in 14.2 minutes in the second half this season.  In the first half, Ard Jr. is averaging 3.8 points and 2.9 rebounds in 12.1 minutes.
  • Redshirt junior Dola Adebayo has scored in double figures in each of the past five games, averaging a team-best 13.6 points while adding 7.4 rebounds over that span.  He has scored in double figures in 11 of the Mount's 13 games.
