Trailing 35-25 at the half, the Mountaineers opened the second half on a 12-to-4 run to cut the deficit to two with just over 16 minutes remaining.  All 12 points during the run came on three points as Hobbs and Carmelo Pacheco hit two each.  The Jaspers (9-9, 4-5 MAAC) responded with a 15-to-1 run to take control of the game with a Devin Dinkins lay-up capping the spurt for a 54-38 advantage midway through the second half.

Down by 12 with 6:46 on the clock, the Mount made a final push, scoring the next seven points to make it a five-point game.  Abdou Khadre Kebe started the run with a three-pointer with Pacheco and Hobbs each hitting a pair of free throws to make it 62-57.  The Mount got a stop and had a chance to cut into the deficit again, but Hobbs was off the mark on a drive.  Dinkins then sealed the win with back-to-back three-pointers, the second giving his team a 68-57 lead with 1:51 remaining.

Adebayo hit 7-of-14 from the field while adding seven rebounds to his team-high 20 points.  Hobbs finished with 13 points and three boards while Pacheco added eight in the loss.  Point guard Xavier Lipscomb had four points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in the game.  Dinkins led all scorers with 23 points for the Jaspers with Masiah Gilyard adding a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards.
