MOUNT STORY LINES
  • Mount St. Mary's lost to Quinnipiac, 91-57, at home on Saturday afternon to fall to 11-7 overall and 4-3 in the MAAC.  The Mount took the lead, 37-36, on an Arlandus Keyes floater to start the second half, but from there, it was all Quinnipiac.  The Bobcats outscored the Mount, 33-to-6, over the first 10 minutes of the half to take control of the game.  Quinnipiac led by as many as 36 points en route to the win.  Carmelo Pacecho led the Mount with 15 points while Dola Adebayo added 12 and Keyes 10 in the loss.
  • The Saints hold a 6-2 lead in the all-time series that dates back to 1985.  The Mount swept the season series last year for their first two wins over Siena in program history.  The Mount earned a 68-61 win at MVP Arena on Feb. 4 last year to improve to 1-3 all-time on the road against Siena.
  • Mount St. Mary's has had four or more players score in double figures nine times this season, posting a perfect 9-0 record in those games.  The Mount had a season-high six  players score in double figures in the Mount's 101-94 win over Fairfield in December.  The Mountaineers have had three or less double figure scorers in each of the past four games (2-2 record).
  • Mount St. Mary's has lost consecutive games for the first time this season.  The Mount is now 5-1 on the year after a loss, including a 2-0 mark on the road after a loss (wins at Bucknell and LIU).
  • Arlandus Keyes made his second start of the season in the loss to Quinnipiac, finishing the game with 10 points, a season-high eight rebounds, and five assists.  Keyes is the third Mountaineer this season to have 10+ points, 8+ rebounds and 5+ assists in a game, joining Terrell Ard Jr. (at LIU) and Dola Adebayo (vs. Fairfield).
  • Carmelo Pacheco hit 5-of-9 from three-point range in the Mount's loss to Quinnipiac on Saturday.  Pacheco now has seven games this season with four or more three-point field goals, the second-most in the MAAC this season.  Tana Kopa of Canisius leads the league with nine games with four or more three-pointers, Siena's Brendan Coyle is third with six.
