MOUNT STORY LINES
  • Dola Adebayo matched his career high while Dakota Leffew reached 1,000 career points as the Mount held off Siena, 68-61, on Sunday.  The Mount held a 16-point second half advantage before the Saints rallied, cutting the deficit to three.  De'Shayne Montgomery had the key basket, a jumper with just under a minute left to restore a five-point lead the Mount was able to finish the win.  Adebayo led the Mount with 16 points while adding seven rebounds.  Leffew chipped in 13 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in the victory, reaching 1,000 career points with a first-half jumper.
  • Manhattan edged the Mount, 75-74, in overtime in the MAAC opener on December 1st to take a 12-7 lead in the all-time series.  The Mount is 3-2 all-time at home against Manhattan, and are 1-2 in MAAC regular season matchups with the Jaspers.
  • Turnovers have been a theme in the Mount's games this year.  The Mount defense is forcing a turnover on 19.4 percent of the opponents possessions (64th in NCAA Division I), but the Mount is committing a turnover on 20.8 percent of its possessions (338th out of 362).
  • Dola Adebayo has scored a career-best 16 points in two of the past three games for the Mountaineers.  He is coming off a 16-point, seven-rebound effort in the win over Siena on Sunday.  Adebayo is averaging 12.7 points and 5.7 rebounds over the past three games.  He has scored in double figures four times this season.
  • The Mount's trio of freshman (De'Shayne Montgomery, Dallas Hobbs and Ronald Jessamy) each scored eight points off the bench in the win over Siena on Sunday.  The three combined for 24 points in the win, shooting a combined 7-for-12 from the field.  Montgomery is second on the team in scoring at 11.0 points per game, Hobbs is third on the team at 8.5 ppg, and Jessamy is averaging 4.7 points while shooting 61.5 percent from the field.
