MOUNT STORY LINES
- Mount St. Mary's was edged by Rider, 66-62, on January 27, before a near sellout crowd at Knott Arena. Dakota Leffew led the Mount with 17 points while Dola Adebayo added a career-high 16 in the game. Trailing by seven at the half, the Mount stormed out of the gates in the second half to build a 39-36 lead.  The Mount led 51-50, but a 6-0 Rider run gave the Broncs the lead. Rider held a tenuous advantage the rest of the way with the lead oscillating between two and four points for the final three minutes. The Broncs hit 17-of-17 at the foul line to seal the win.
- The Mountaineers downed Marist, 65-48, on January 19 at Knott Arena to take a 14-7 lead in the all-time series. The Mountaineers are 4-5 all-time on the road against the Red Foxes. The Mount is 2-1 against Marist in MAAC regular season games with the home team winning in all three matchups.
- Dakota Leffew's 17-point effort in the Mount's 66-62 loss to Rider on Sunday gives him 960 points in his Mount career, good for 52nd on the Mount's all-time scoring list. He needs 40 more points to become the 49th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point plateau. Next up on the list are Kevin Kane (51st, 970, 1970-74), Charles Cook (50th, 985, 2002-06) and Gerben Van Dorpe (49th, 996, 1994-98).
- Dakota Leffew leads the Mount with nine games with 20 or more points this season, the second most in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference behind Rider's Mervyn James, who has 10. Leffew has scored in double figures in each of the past 19 games, and leads the team in scoring (17.6) and assists (4.0). He has 14 career 20-point games as a Mountaineer.
- The Mount's opponents are shooting 76.7 percent at the foul line this year, including Rider's 17-for-17 effort in Sunday's 66-62 loss. The Mount's 76.7 percent at the charity stripe is the seventh-best free throw percentage by opponents in the nation this year.
- Up next, the Mount plays at Siena on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. before returning home to host Manhattan (Feb. 8) and Quinnipiac (Feb. 10).
