- Mount St. Mary's improved to 7-4 this season with an 80-72 win at LIU on Wednesday night. Dola Adebayo led four Mountaineers in double figures, matching his career high with 16 points in the win. Freshman Abdou Khadre Kebe chipped in a career-best 12 points while Javon Ervin added 11 and Terrell Ard Jr. 10 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.Â
- Mount St. Mary's is 0-1 all-time against Miami with the Hurricanes winning first-ever meeting, 86-83, on Dec. 8, 1966, at the Baltimore Civic Center. The matchup in Baltimore was a wild one that featured a melee between the two teams. Miami's Rick Jones finished with a game-high 26 points while teammate Junior Gee added 20 points for the Hurricanes. Fred Carter led the Mount with a game-high 29 points while Bob Sutor added 19 points and 12 rebounds.
- The Mountaineers improved to 6-3 this season in non-conference play with the win at LIU on Wednesday, clinching a winning non-conference record for the first time since 2002-03.The Mount has two remaining non-conference games, at Miami and at George Mason (Dec. 28).
- Mount St. Mary's is 1-26 all-time against the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Mount's lone ACC win was a big one, a victory over No. 21 Georgia Tech at the Omni in Atlanta, Ga., on Dec. 18, 1995.Â
- Terrell Ard Jr. finished with 10 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, recording his fourth career double-double, in the win over LIU on Wednesday night. .He is the first Mountaineer to finish with 10+ points, 10+ rebounds and 7+ assists in a game since Jeremy Goode posted 18 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists in a win over FDU on January 27, 2007.
- Mount St. Mary's went 31-for-41 (.756) at the foul line in the victory. The 41 free throw attempts were the most in a game since going 25-for-41 against Morgan State on Nov. 25, 2018.The 31 made free throws were the most since the Mount went 31-for-40 in an NEC Quarterfinal win over St. Francis Brooklyn on March 5, 2014.
