MOUNT STORY LINES
- Mount St. Mary's rolled to a 98-62 win over Notre Dame of Maryland on Monday night at Knott Arena. Dallas Hobbs led the Mount with 17 points and five assists while Terrell Ard Jr. and Jedy Cordilia each chipped in a double-double. Dola Adebayo added 16 points with freshman Abdou Khadre Kébé adding 10 points in his collegiate debut.Â
- This will be the 12th all-time meeting between the Mount and Maryland with the Terrapins having won the previous 11 matchups. Maryland earned a 68-53 win over the Mount in the season opener last season. The closest game was on Dec. 7, 2011, when the Terrapins edged the Mount, 77-74.
- Redshirt junior Dola Adebayo was named Third Team Preseason All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. A starter in 13 of 32 games played last year, the 6-9 forward averaged Adebayo averaged 6.7 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 51.9 percent from the field. .Adebayo opened the 2024-25 season by matching his career high of 16 points while adding seven boards in the win over Notre Dame of Maryland.
- Donny Lind earned his first career victory in his first game as a head coach in the Mount's 98-62 win over Notre Dame of Maryland. Named the 23rd head coach in Mount history in April, Lind served as an assistant coach at UNC Greensboro, Radford, the Mount and VCU prior to being named the head coach at Mount St. Mary's.
- Terrell Ard Jr. (12 points, 14 rebounds) and Jedy Cordilia (14 points, 11 rebounds) each recorded a double-double in the Mount's season-opening win over Notre Dame of Maryland on Monday. It is the first time the Mount had a pair of double-doubles in the same game since Feb. 21, 2021 when Damian Chong Qui (14 points, 11 rebounds) and Mezie Offurum (22 points, 13 rebounds) achieved the feat.
- Jedy Cordilia went 5-for-6 from the floor in the win over Notre Dame of Maryland on Monday night. The senior forward is shooting 58.0 percent from the field in his Mount career, fifth all-time in school history.
