Women's Rugby Comeback Falls Short to West Chester

Emmitsburg, MD (November 2, 2024) – The Mount St. Mary's women's rugby team fell short to West Chester, losing 31-22.
 
Game Notes
  • Caliann Dietz tallied two tries for the Mount, her first scoring of the season
  • Sydney Sibilia also got her name on the score sheet with a try of her own
  • Shaniah Mayers booted in one penalty kick, and two conversions for the Mount
 The Mount was down 31-5 at the end of the first half but made a large comeback in the second half. They held the Golden Rams scoreless and were able to gain momentum. Ultimately the effort wasn't enough to come back from the deficit. West Chester moves to 5-0 against the Mount historically.
 
Up Next for the Mount
The team will have their final game of the 15's season against Navy at home on Echo Field on Saturday, November 9.
