MOUNT STORY LINES
  • Mount St. Mary's fell at Maryland, 86-52, on Friday night despite a career-high 21 points from Dallas Hobbs.  The Mount got off to an auspicious start, taking a 10-2 lead in the early moments.  Maryland took its first lead midway through the first half and continued to extend the advantage.  Hobbs hit all five of his three-point attempts en route to his 21-point outing while Dola Adebayo added 11 points and five boards.
  • This will be the first meeting between the Mount and Bucknell in eight seasons.  The Bison earned an 81-65 win over the Mount on December 19, 2016, to take a 13-11 lead in the all-time series.  The Mount's last win over Bucknell was the previous season, an 81-73 home victory on December 8, 2015.  The two teams did play a preseason charity exhibition game last year at Knott Arena with the Mount winning 72-67 in two overtimes.
  • This will be the Mount's first of two games against a Patriot League opponent this season.  In addition to the game at Bucknell, the Mountaineers will host Loyola on December 14 at Knott Arena.  Last year, the Mount went 1-1 against Patriot League competition, and is now 27-39 all-time against Patriot League competition.  The Mount is 2-10 over its past 12 games against the Patriot League.
  • Dallas Hobbs went 5-for-5 from three-point range in the  loss at Maryland, becoming the fifth Mountaineer all-time to make five or more threes in a game without a miss.  Kevin Booth holds the standard, going 7-for-7 against Widener on January 21, 1989.  Dakota Leffew (5-for-5 vs. Siena on 12/3/23), Chris Vann (5-for-5 at James Madison on 11/24/07 and Will Miller (5-for-5 at Norfolk State on 1/3/14).
