September 23, 2023--Mount St. Mary's dropped a tough decision at Manhattan, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon at Gaelic Park. An own goal with 10:21 remaining was the only score in the game in the tight affair as the Jaspers came away with the one-goal victory. Mount goalkeeper

The Mountaineers (2-6-2, 0-2-1 MAAC) held the advantage in the first half, outshooting the Jaspers, 5-2, in the opening frame.
Luisangely Navas had three shots in the opening 23 minutes, including a pair of opportunites that were denied by Manhattan's Margaret Brunk.
The second half saw Keshwar tested just two minutes in, but she came away with a stop on a Ianah Mackey shot. The Mount's
Madison Bee had a shot turned away in the 52nd minute. The winning goal came on an own goal with 10:21 left in the contest. From there, the Mount was not able to generate a scoring chance in the closing minutes.
Manhattan (2-3-3, 1-0-2 MAAC) finished the game with a 9-to-6 shot advantage, including a 6-to-4 margin in shots on goal.
The Mountaineers return home to host Saint Peter's on Saturday, September 30, at 1:00 p.m.
