Annapolis, Md. (March 26, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's women's rugby traveled to Annapolis, Md. today to compete in an exhibition match against the Navy Midshipmen. The women ran away with the win, 41-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The team set the tone being the first to score only seven minutes into the game.
- The Mountaineers were pitching a shutout in the first half.
- After 15 minutes of fighting in the second half the Midshipmen were able to score from the Mount's 10-meter line for their only score of the game.
- Kaylen Thomas scored two tries.
- Katherine Stern scored three tries
- Tyler Dickens scored one try
- Monet Hubbard scored one try
- Jalana Jade Garcia made one conversion kick while Kameka President made two.

Mount women's rugby will see more action next weekend as they travel to West Chester, Pennsylvania on April 1st, to compete in a 15s match against West Chester University.
