MOUNT STORY LINES
  •  Mount St. Mary's rolled to an 87-59 win over LIU at Knott Arena on December 23 to move to 5-7 on the season.  Joshua Reaves led six Mountaineers in double figures with 17 points while George Tinsley added a double-double with 16 points and 10 boards in the victory.  The Mount closed the first half with an 11-to-2 run to take a 45-30 lead at the break, and led comfortably the rest of the way.
  • The Mount and Delaware State will be playing for the first time 32 seasons.  This will be the first meeting between the two teams since an 81-78 Delaware State victory on Nov. 25, 1991, in Dover, Del.  The Mount won the first-ever matchup, 99-85, on Dec. 28, 1989, and the all-time series is tied, 1-1.
  • The Mount had six players reach double figures in scoring in the win over LIU.  Joshua Reaves led the way with 17, and he was joined by George Tinsley (16), De'Shayne Montgomery (11), Dakota Leffew (11), Jedy Cordilia (10) and Terrell Ard, Jr. (10).  It is the first time the Mount has had six double-figure scorers in the same game since a 96-80 win over Bryant on Jan. 4, 2018.
  • Joshua Reaves scored a team-high 17 points in the Mount's 87-59 win over LIU, hitting 5-of-7 from three-point range in the game.  Reaves is shooting 59.1 percent (13-of-22) from beyond the arc over the past four games, and he now leads the Mount in both three-point percentage (.397) and three-point field goals made (25).  Reaves is shooting 36.9 percent (109-for-295) in 67 career games for the Mountaineers.
  • Mount St. Mary's has scored 80 or more points in each of the past two games and is averaging 77.9 points over the past eight contests.  The last time the Mount has scored 80 or more in back-to-back games was in wins over LIU (86-80) and St. Francis Brooklyn (86-72) in January of 2018.
  • Up next, the Mountaineers return to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play with a pair of league matchups.  The Mount hosts Canisius on Friday, January 5, at 7:00 p.m. at Knott Arena before heading on the road to face Saint Peter's on Sunday, January 7, at 2:00 p.m. Click HERE for ticket information for the Mount's home matchup with Canisius.
