MOUNT STORY LINES
- Mount St. Mary's dropped a hard-fought overtime game at Manhattan, 75-74, on Friday night. The Mountaineers overcame a 22-point first half deficit to eventually take a second-half lead before the game went to overtime. In the extra period, the Mount led 74-72 after Dakota Leffew's tough bucket in the paint, but Manhattan's Rokas Jocys hit a three-pointer with five seconds left to give the Jaspers the win. Leffew led the Mount with 21 points while De'Shayne Montgomery added 15 points and five steals.
- Siena holds a 6-0 lead in the all-time series, including a sweep of last year's MAAC regular season meetings. The Mount is 0-3 all-time at home against Siena with the Saints prevailing, 72-65, on Feb. 10, 2023, in the last matchup at Knott Arena.\u   Freshman De'Shayne Montgomery has recorded five steals in each of the past two games. He now leads the Mount and the MAAC with 2.83 steals per game. He has recorded two or more steals in five of his six career games as a Mountaineer.
- Senior guard Dakota Leffew has scored 20 or more points in each of the past three games. He is coming off a 21-point effort in the overtime loss to Manhattan, and is averaging 21.0 points over the three-game span.
- Mount St. Mary's has dropped back-to-back overtime games, falling to Howard, 87-83, in double overtime on November 25 and at Manhattan, 75-74, in overtime on Friday night. It is the first time the Mount has played back-to-back overtime games since beating Loyola, 80-75, in overtime on Dec. 2 and falling to Pittsburgh, 82-78, on Dec. 5 in 2017.  The Mount has not played three consecutive overtime games since the 2003-04 season
- The Mount overcame a 22-point first-half deficit to take the lead before falling in overtime, 75-74, at Manhattan on Friday. It is the biggest deficit overcome by a Mount team to take the lead in a game since moving to NCAA Division I in 1988-89. The Mount trailed LIU, 25-4, before rallying for a 61-54 victory on Jan. 17, 2015.Â
