LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (December 16th, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's swim and dive claimed eight first place nods in team and individual events yet, came up short in the end as the men's team lost to Rider 212-79, while the women fell 195-101.
Per the women's side,
Christina Lazari highlighted the day with two first place finishes in the 100- and 200-yard breaststrokes while also assisting in a first-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay after finishing the event in 1:48.32. Lazari placed first in the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:06.63, while finishing first in the 200-breast in 2:28.71.
Maddy Samuels claimed first in the 50-free with a time of 24.57 seconds, while
Hanna Aggen claimed a first-place nod in the 100-backstroke with a time of 59.90 seconds.
On the men's side,
Aidan Grady claimed first place in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events. Grady finished the 100-breast in 56.63 seconds, while finishing the 200-breast in 2:08.21.
Austin Toland followed with a first-place nod in the 100-free with in 47.20 second, while Toland,
Griffin Distler,
Lucas Hancock, and
Jason Fitch finished third in the final event of the day with a final time of 3:12.80.
