EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 12^th, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's swimming and diving hosts their second home dual-meet this Saturday, October 14^th as they host Howard University. The meet begins at 1 p.m. in Emmitsburg, Md. at the ARCC Swimming Pool.
 
MOUNT UPDATE
 
The Mountaineers last competed against American University at home last weekend. The men's team won the meet 130-88, while the women's team lost 136-88. The women claimed five first place finishes while the men claimed seven. Christina Lazari, Abigail Steckiel, Hanna Aggen, and Madison Murphy set a school meter record in the 200-medley with a time of 2:00.12. Per the men's side, Jason Fitch, Aidan Grady, Griffin Distler, and Lucas Hancock set a meter record in the 200-medley with a time of 1:44.06. Nicholas Santorelli set a school record in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 1:57.93.
 
HISTORY WITH HOWARD
 
The women's team holds a 10-2 record, while the men are 1-4 against the Bison. The Mountaineers last challenged the Bison at Howard last season on October 8^th, 2022, when Howard won both the men's and women's meet.
