MAAC DAY TWO RESULTS
GENEVA, Ohio (February 12, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's men's and women's swimming and diving finished the second day of the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships with great results in both individual and team events.
The team's performance was capped off by the men's 200-Yard Freestyle Relay team of
Adam Jozsa,
Lucas Hancock,
Austin Toland, and
Parker Koenig, who won the event with a time of 1:19.72, checking in nearly a second ahead of the Rider relay team who finished in second with a time of 1:20.03.
During the day's women's events,
Carmen Del Aguila placed second in the 500-Yard Freestyle, checking into second place with a time of 4:51.15, earning a NIC B-Cut time in the process. In the A-Final of the women's 50-Yard Freestyle,
Christina Lazari finished in fifth place with a time of 23.69, qualifying for an ECAC A-Cut. And in the women's 200-Yard Freestyle Relay, the team of Lazari,
Eve Phillips,
Theodora Kanellopoulou, and
Madison Murphy finished the race in second place with a time of 1:34.60, once again qualifying for an ECAC A-Cut.
Along with the win in the men's 200-Yard Freestyle Relay,
Todor Gospodinov finished in first place of the men's 200-Yard IM B-Final with a time of 1:49.21, qualifying for a NIC B-Cut. In the men's 50-Yard Freestyle, both Hancock and Koenig finished in third and fourth places respectively, checking in with NIC B-Cut qualified times of 20.18 and 20.24. Toland received a ECAC A-Cut time in the B-Final of the same event, posting a time of 20.59 in second place of the B-Final.
At the end of the second day, the scoring outlook for the Mountaineers has the men's team in sixth place, with a point tally of 279 while the women finish the second day of the conference championships with a point tally of 248 in fifth place.

The Mountaineers return to the pool tomorrow, January 13 for the third day of the MAAC Championships with the prelims beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the finals beginning at 5:30 p.m.
