MOUNT STORY LINES
- Mount St. Mary's fell at Siena, 72-57, on Friday night to fall to 6-13 overall and 2-6 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The Mountaineers held the lead midway through the second half before the Saints were able to pull away for the win. Jedy Cordilia scored a career high 16 points to lead the Mount while Jalen Benjamin (14) and Dakota Leffew (11) also reach double figures.
- This will be the 20th all-time meeting between the Mount and Marist with the Mount holding a 12-7 lead in the series. Marist posted a 63-56 win over the Mount on January 8 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. The Mount and Marist were Northeast Conference rivals from 1990-97 with the Mount defeating the Red Foxes, 84-79, in the NEC semifinals en route to the school's first-ever NCAA Tournament berth.
- Mount St. Mary's dropped the first game of the season series at Marist, 63-56, on January 8.  Dakota Leffew scored a team-high 17 points to pace the Mountaineers while Jalen Benjamin added 15. Marist outscored the Mountaineers by 12 in the second half to rally for the win. Marist took the lead on a Kam Farris three-pointer and led 45-44 after the Mount's Deandre Thomas scored with just over eight minutes left. The Red Foxes then used a 7-0 run to take control of the game, eventually taking a 12-point lead, 60-48, with 2:21 left after a Patrick Gardner basket. Gardner finished with 23 points.
- Mount St. Mary's has had at least one starter out due to injury in 10 of the past 11 games, which has led to six different starting lineups over the past six contests. The list of starters who have missed games over the past 11 contests includes Deandre Thomas (4 games), Malik Jefferson (4 games), Jalen Benjamin (2 games) and Dakota Leffew (2 games).  Overall, head coach Dan Engelstad has used nine different starting lineup combinations this year.
- Dakota Leffew is 40-for-104 (.385) from three-point range. He leads the MAAC in three-pointers made per game (2.4) while he is tied with Quinnipiac's Tyrese Williams for the most three-pointers made on the year (40). He is 5-for-10 (.500) from beyond the arc over the past two contests.
- Jedy Cordilia has started each of the paet two games and is coming off a career-high 16 points at Siena. Cordilia recorded his first collegiate double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds against Quinnipiac in his first start of the year on Jan. 15. Cordilia is averaging 13.5 points and 9.0 rebounds over the past two contests.
