MOUNT STORY LINES
  • Mount St. Mary's fell to Quinnipiac, 58-51, at home on Sunday afternoon.The Mountaineers held a 43-40 advantage with just under eight minutes remaining, but the Bobcats were able to make the plays down the stretch to secure the win. Dakota Leffew paced the Mount with a game-high 18 points while Jedy Cordilia recorded his first career double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds in his first start of the season.The Mount held Quinnipiac to 31.7 percent shooting in the game.
  • This will be the fifth all-time meeting between the Mount and Siena and the first since Nov. 19, 2011.The Saints have won each of the first four meetings in the series that began on Dec. 14, 1940.Siena downed the Mount, 65-53, in Emmitsburg in the last meeting in the second half of a home-and-home series.The Mount saw the Saints rally for a 79-76 overtime win on Jan. 2, 2010, at MVP Arena the previous season.
