MOUNT STORY LINES
- Mount St. Mary's had a tough outing against Northeast Conference leader Wagner on Thursday night, falling to the Seahawks by the final score of 69-57. The Mount had a 5-3 early lead, but Wagner took control with a 23-to-5 run to establish a double-digit lead. It was 39-23 at the half, and Wagner led by double figures the entire second half. Jalen Benjamin led the Mountaineers with 16 points. The Mount shot just 37.7 percent from the field in the game.
- Malik Jefferson pulled down a team-high nine rebounds in the loss to Wagner to move his career total to 734.  That moves Jefferson to second on the Mount's all-time rebound list during the Mount's NCAA Division I era (since 1988-89). Jefferson trails the Mount's Division I leader, Michael Watson, by 12 for the top spot. Watson had 746 career boards from 1991-95.
- The Mount has a trio of players closing in on the 1,000-point mark for career scoring. Jalen Benjamin has 941 career points in his three collegiate seasons (two at UAB and this year at the Mount). Nana Opoku is right behind with 936 career points at the Mount while Malik Jefferson just surpassed the 900-point mark and has 904 career points as a Mountaineer.
- Mount St. Mary's defeated Saint Francis U, 71-54, on January 29 to take a 52-34 lead in the all-time series between the two teams. The Mount is 33-12 all-time at home and 15-22 on the road against the Red Flash. The Mount owns a 27-7 record over the past 34 meetings with Saint Francis U dating all the way back to February 21, 2005. The Mount has won four of the past six matchups at DeGol Arena.
- Dakota Leffew is averaging 10.3 points and 3.3 rebounds over the past three games for the Mountaineers. Leffew has improved his season scoring average to 6.6 points per game. He is shooting 45.0 percent (9-of-20) from three-point range over the past six games.
- Jalen Benjamin leads the Mount with 40 three-point field goals made, shooting 37.4 percent (40-of-107) on the season from three-point range.
- The Mountaineers return to Knott Arena for the final two home games of the regular season beginning with a 7:00 p.m. matchup against St. Francis Brooklyn on Thursday, February 17. The Mount will host LIU on Saturday, February 19, at 4:00 p.m. for Senior Day.
