MOUNT STORY LINES
  • The Mount made if four wins in a row with a 67-56 victory at Fairleigh Dickinson on Thursday night.  The Mount held FDU to 33.9 percent shooting in the game on the way to the win.  Jalen Benjamin scored a team-high 18 points, Mezie Offurum added 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists, and Nana Opoku chipped in his 10th career double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.  The Mount led by 13 at the half (31-18), and saw FDU narrow the deficit to six early in the second half.  The Mount answered that with a 7-0 run to regain the double-digit lead and led comfortably the rest of the way.
  • The Mount's four-game win streak matches the best during head coach Dan Engelstad's tenure.  The Mount won four in a row  last season and also during the 2019-20 campaign.  The Mount's last five-game win streak was during the 2017-18 season.
  • Mount St. Mary's has held each opponent during its four-game win streak under 60 points.  The Mount has not held four opponents in a row under 60 since a five-game streak in 2010.
  • The Mount holds a 51-34 lead in the all-time series with SFU.  The Mount owns a 26-7 record over the past 33 meetings with Saint Francis U dating all the way back to February 21, 2005.  The Red Flash, however, have won four of the past six in the series.  Mount St. Mary's is 32-12 all-time at home against Saint Francis U at Knott Arena, including a 16-3 record over the past 19 games in Emmitsburg.
  • Mount St. Mary's has held each opponent during its four-game win streak under 60 points.  The Mount has not held five opponents in a row under 60 since a five-game streak in 2010.
  • Mezie Offurum is averaging a team-high 17.3 points over the past three games.  He started the stretch by matching his career high of 22 points in the Mount's rout of Sacred Heart.  He is coming off a 16-point, eight-rebound, four-assist effort in the win at FDU.
