MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount had a tough weekend at Central Connecticut, dropping all four games of the four-game series to open Northeast Conference play with an 0-4 mark. The Mount saw CCSU rally for five runs in the bottom of the sixth for a 7-4 win in game one of the series. The Blue Devils hit a two-run, two-out homer in the bottom of the seventh to rally for a 3-2 win in the final game of the four-game set.Â
Kaylee Stoner leads the Mount with a .324 average and 15 runs scored this season.Â
Bridgette Gilliano is hitting .293 with a team-high seven stolen bases.Â
Amanda Berkley (5-4, 3.41 ERA) and
Avery Neuhart (1-7, 6.05 ERA) have combined to start 19 of the Mount's 22 games in the circle.
BRYANT UPDATE: Bryant was swept by UMass in a doubleheader on Tuesday and is 0-4 on the season. Carlyn Hernandez leads the team with a .500 average (5-for-10) while Megan Marcel is 2-for-6 (.333) with two home runs and five RBI. Jocelyn Bodington has started three of the four games, going 1-2 with a 4.59 ERA in 10.2 innings to lead the pitching staff.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES: The Mount holds an 11-9 lead in the all-time series with Bryant that began in 2010. The Mount has won four in a row against the Bulldogs, and is 6-6 all-time on the road in the series. The Mount swept a home doubleheader with Bryant in 2019 (4-3 and 6-2) and a road twinbill in 2018 (5-1, 7-4). Bryant's last wins over the Mount came in a doubleheader sweep in Emmitsburg in 2017 (4-0, 2-1).
UP NEXT: The Mount hosts LIU at Our Lady of the Meadows Field for a four-game NEC series on April 2 and 3. The doubleheaders each day are set to start at noon.
