EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 19, 2021) – The Mount St. Mary's swimming & diving teams' almost one-year long wait to return to the pool comes to an end Saturday, when they travel to a meet against Loyola.
 
MOUNT UPDATE
The Mountaineers last swam in a competition in late February 2020. The men finished seventh at the CCSA Championships while the women coming in eighth at the Northeast Conference Championships.

Led by Neil Yost, now in his 16^th year, fields a team of 53 student-athletes, divided between 30 men and 23 women. The student-athletes include 20 freshmen.

The NEC began sponsoring men's swimming & diving for the 2020-21 season, joining the women in the Mount's primary conference.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES
A victory for either side would be the first over the Greyhounds for either team. The two teams met last year, with the Mount men falling 155-113 and the women losing 168-100.

PRESEASON POLL
Mount St. Mary's men were picked tied for second out of four teams in the NEC poll. The women were picked to place eighth.

THE SEASON AHEAD
This will be the first of three meets during the shortened season. After Loyola, the Mount will challenge Towson and VMI.
