NORTHEAST CONFERENCE PLAYOFF PICTURE
Mount St. Mary's currently sits in the number three spot in the division playoff race. The Mount's magic number is two, but if Sacred Heart loses twice in their series against LIU Brooklyn this weekend, the Mountaineers clinch a spot in the playoffs for the first time since 2008.

MOUNT UPDATE
The Mount St. Mary's baseball team edged Central Connecticut 9-8 in extra innings on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Mountaineers took the weekend series three games to one over the Blue Devils to remain in the Northeast Conference (NEC) playoff picture. Alex KrissPatrick Causa, and Thomas Savastio led the Mount offense with three hits each and combined for three runs batted in and two runs scored. Michael Kuyperspitched 4.2 strong innings while he allowed no runs and struck out three to earn his third win of the year. Noah Smith came in and pitched a scoreless 12th frame and struck out one batter to record his second save on the season. Mount St. Mary's moves to 20-25 on the year with a NEC mark of 14-11 and the Blue Devils drop to 15-26 on the year with a 9-16 mark in NEC play.

ABOUT THE SEMINOLES
Freshman Austin Pollock tied a career high with six innings pitched, striking out eight, and Florida State (33-16) beat Jacksonville (31-17) 10-4 Wednesday evening at Dick Howser Stadium. FSU swept the season series against the Dolphins for the second straight year. Jacksonville scored in three different innings, and the Seminoles answered with multiple runs each time. Pollock (4-4) allowed four runs on eight hits in 6.0 innings. Freshman Jonah Scolaro earned his sixth save, and fifth of at least three innings, pitching the final three frames and allowing just three hits and striking out five. Offensively, four Seminoles had a pair of hits, while Reese Albert set a career high with three RBI. Cal Raleigh had his fourth consecutive multi-hit game and is hitting 10-for-17 during that stretch. The top seven hitters in FSU's lineup had at least one hit.

This is the first all-time meeting between the Mount and Florida State.

The Mount finishes up the regular season at home with a three game series against Bryant. The first game of the series is on Thursday, May 17th at 3:00 PM and finish the series up with Senior Day on Saturday, May 19th at 1:00 PM.
